Reflecting Window

Ok, so I am energized again and trying to update my blog. This photo was taken in Ireland on the grounds of the Bunratty Castle. I was drawn to this window, and later I wondered does our subconscious take us to the photographs that we most need to see?

This particular window  reflected the beauty that was all around me. It reflected not only the window itself; but also the trees, the time of the year, and the beautiful location in and around this window. What is inside that window??? I will never know.

Do we as individuals constantly reflect Beauty and Joy to others? Is that the reflection of us that others see? However, what is inside of each of us? How many other emotions are at war inside of us? Pain, wonder, sadness, joy, longing, stillness - just what do we contain inside??? Is it right that we simply reflect the beauty? Is that what everyone around us wants to see??

When we observe the beauty, do we ever stop and look further? Do we even want to know and understand? Does it take a true friend to see past our outer beauty, and to glimpse more of the picture? Do we ever truly see a perfect picture of ourselves?
